Lanka, or Sri Lanka was home to the ancient ruler called Ravan the Great. Hindu pilgrims are eager to visit places in Sri Lanka associated with this powerful ruler who once ruled the entire region, as well as to discover the sites of the Hindu Epic Ramayanaya. This tour is especially designed to take you to key locations where Great Ravan once lived and to the battle places of the Ramayanaya from India.

You will visit locations from Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple to Munneswaran Temple with its impeccable history. If you are keen to see where it all happened in  the Hindu Epic Ramayanaya, this is the tour to see it all.

Day 1: Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple – Rumasala – Ussanggoda – Kataragama Click here to readmore

  • Welcome at the airport by our representative and your guide, who will take you around the country for the coming ten days
  • Visit the Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple, dedicated to Lod Anjaneyar (Hanuman), the only temple in the world having a chariot for Anjaneyar. The Chariot festival is held annually in the end of December/beginning of January.
  • Stop at the Rumasela Mountain in Galle. It is one of the five places to which parts of the Himalaya fell when Hanuman brought the mountain to Sri Lanka
  • Enjoy seeing the Seenigama temple in Hikkaduwa, a beautiful beach town on the West coast
  • Visit Ussanggoda, one of the torched areas, that is said to have been an airport used by King Ravana
  • In the evening visit Kataragama shrine, dedicated to God Skanda (Murugan), the God of Love and War.

  • Visit the Ramayana sites around Ella and Nuwara Eliya in Sri Lanka’s stunning Hill Country, located next to boasting waterfalls, in cave tunnels and on mountaintops
  • Visit the Sita Amman temple with a very prominent architecture and located beautifully next to the Hagkala Botanical Garden.

  • Visit the Hanuman temple and the breathtaking Ramboda waterfall on the way from Nuwara Eliya to Kandy.
