Upon arrival at the Katunayaka airport, you will be greeted and met by one of our friendly chauffeur guides. You will then be transferred to the hotel to refresh and relax.

Day 2: Negambo - Anuradhapuraya UNESCO world Heritage city Click here to readmore

After breakfast we will leave for Anuradhapura. Anuradhapura was the first ancient kingdom and capital of Sri Lanka. Founded by King Pandukabhaya in the 3rd century BC and is famous for being home to the sacred Bo Tree – an offspring of the sacred Bo Tree under which Lord Buddha attained Enlightment in India. Other highlights at Anuradhapura include ancient temples, ruins of palaces, beautifully landscaped gardens and Isurumuniya Temple – carved out of solid rock, was the first temple in which Lord Buddha’s tooth relic was stored. It is also home to very artistic rock carvings.

Day 3: Anuradhapura – Polonnaruwa- Anuradhapura Click here to readmore

After breakfast leave in the morning and proceed to Polonnaruwa, Sri lanka’s second ancient capital between 11th and 13th Century. It was built alongside an artificial lake, Polonnaruwa has well preserved ruins of palaces, bath pools, architecture and statues of Lord Buddha. Sophisticated irrigation structures and civilizations are evident from the remains of the site. One of the many highlights of the site are the 4 large rock cut Buddha’s statutes depicting the four significant poses of Buddha.

After breakfast proceed to Kandy, the gateway to Sri Lanka’s beautiful Hill Country. Check-in to your hotel and relax. You will also experience the bustling city of Kandy. Kandy is the last kingdom of Sri Lanka and is also an UNESCO World Heritage listed site.

After breakfast visit world famous temple of the tooth (Sri Dalada Maligawa) at leisure. The Sri Dalada Maligawa, which enshrines the Tooth Relic of the Buddha, is the holiest shrine in the Buddhist world. Kandy is a World Heritage site and the capital of the central province.

In the evening you can take a walk through the bustling city and experience the crimson sunset by the lake as the sun dips below the mountains, which surround the town. Simply stroll by the lake and soak up the atmosphere. Kandy also offers great shopping opportunities at arts and crafts workshops, batik manufacturers and the city’s colourful bazaar. You can also choose to spend the afternoon visiting the ancient temples of Gadaladeniya, Ambekke and Lankathilaka in a short and relax detour.

Day 6: Kandy – Nuwara Eliya Click here to readmore

After breakfast, leave for Nuwara Eliya. You will notice as we drive through the Hill Country the temperature get much cooler and the air is crisp. You will also witness the never ending luscious green tea plantations and the beautiful waterfalls. En-route we will visit a tea plantation and a tea factory, where the best tea in the world is produced. Here you will observe the process of manufacturing tea. You can also witness how tea is graded and taste a cup of pure Ceylon tea in the factory. Nuwara Eliya is about 2000m above sea level. Check in to your hotel and relax.

Day 7 and Day 8: Nuwara Eliya- Haggala garden Click here to readmore

After breakfast visit Hakgala botanical garden at leisure. Haggala botanical garden is the perfect place for an amazing walk with your child in to the nature for a pick nick.

The Hakgala Botanical Garden is known as the exotic pleasure in Nuwara Eliya with a really long ancient history. The current garden was founded in 1860 by the eminent British botanist Dr GHK Thwaites, who was superintendent of the famous gardens at Peradeniya in Kandy. In the rose garden you can experience the sights and scents of these glorious blooms in their infinite variety.

A special attraction here is the variety of mountain orchids, many of them endemic to Sri Lanka. Walking in to the back of the garden sounded by beautiful trees and grass patches with pre historic atmosphere.

Day 9 : Nuwara Eliya - Horton Plains Click here to readmore

After breakfast visit Horton planes in a comfortable special minivan. It is the perfect hike for parents who love to introduce their family to amazing nature. Horton Plains is located about 20 km south of Nuwara Eliya. It is Sri Lanka’s highest plateau at 3250 meters above sea level and has an outstanding variety of scenery from mountains to grasslands. It offers spectacular views from “World’s End”, where the plateau plunges 700 meters in a sheer drop.

It is an excellent hiking location with cool, bracing climate, distinctive flora and many rare highland birds. This is a favourite place for trekkers with plenty of trails for first time and experienced hikers. The best is to come very early in the morning, before fog covers the incredible view from World’s End. It is a beautiful three-hour walk passing the Bakers Fall to World’s End, but there are also several longer trails to spend the whole day. It is the only natural park in Sri Lanka that visitors can hike in freely, so it is a must for all hikers and nature lovers.

Enjoy your last mountain breakfast at Nuwara Eliya. Take your time to prepare to leave for the amazing beach city of Bentota for amazing relax time at leisure. Spend your time in the beach front hotel and take time to relax and play with your children.

You may request your dedicated chauffer to take you to nearby fortress city of Galle for an evening or even another famous beach like Hikkaduwa. You may even take turns to experience a Rejuvenalising Ayurvedic treatments to help you regain your energy and spirit.
