Yala National Wildlife Park

Yala National Park is located at the Southeastern tip of Sri Lanka and is one of the Sri Lanka’s premier wildlife destinations. On a safari through the wildlife park you have the chance to see leopards and sloth bears emerge out of the shady jungle and roam around, you can take photos of elephants, spotted deer, sambar, wild boar, wild buffaloes, jackal and mongoose. The bird life is also fantastic and it is amazing how close you can get to them from the confines of the safari jeep. There are many interesting places to visit around Yala, including Kataragama temple, Kirinda beach and several historic sites.
